The new movie “The Predator” may be one of the best in the series

Alien and Predators theme movies are one of the best movies ever released.

And it’s obvious that the older movies are far better than the recent, even with their “poor” (for today’s standards) effects, while Hollywood struggling to even reach their quality.

Our first contact with Predator was with the film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, released on June 12, 1987. The film was awesome, made 98.3 million in the box-office and it is rated 7.8 on IMDB. The following movies were, what else, bad (with one small exception for the Predator 2, which you can watch it if you don’t have anything else to watch).

However, “The Predator” seems to return to the bases set by “Predator” and that’s good. With today’s effects Hollywood can give us, it is very likely that we are talking about a remarkable action movie.

And with the rumors that Arnold Schwarzenegger may be return to the movie, then we are talking about a great movie.

We’ll see…

Plot

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
